Samantha Derilus, dc
Born in Queens, New York, and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, I knew from a young age that I wanted to help people—I just didn't know in what capacity. I attended a charter school with a medical focus, which initially led me toward a career in pharmacy. After working as a pharmacy technician in both hospital and retail settings, I realized that path wasn't where I was meant to be.
During my final year at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University in 2018, I was introduced to the field of chiropractic. I told myself that if I were accepted into chiropractic school, I would give it one semester. That one semester changed everything.
I went on to earn my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in 2022. Throughout that journey, God made it clear that this was the path He had prepared for me. My mentor at the time believed in me before I fully believed in myself and gave me the confidence to pursue this calling wholeheartedly.
Unlike many chiropractors, I didn't grow up receiving chiropractic care or surrounded by the profession. This career came into my life unexpectedly, and it became a lesson in trusting God's plan. Along the way, I fell in love with the ability to help people regain their health, improve their function, and return to doing the things they love.
My passion is rehabilitation-based chiropractic care because I believe in combining evidence-based treatment with the body's incredible ability to heal. There's something incredibly rewarding about watching patients make steady progress through movement, consistency, and time. Seeing those real-life transformations is what motivates me every day.
I truly believe God entrusted me with this opportunity, and I don't take it for granted. Being able to serve His people, care for my community, and make a positive impact in the lives of others is the greatest blessing of my career.
